Terms of Service

By accessing or using BargainBay ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

BargainBay is a community-driven marketplace that uses a credit-based system for price reveal. These Terms govern your use of the Platform, including browsing, purchasing credits, revealing prices, and making purchases.

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

Upon registration, you will receive 100 free credits. Credits are a virtual currency used exclusively on the Platform to reveal hidden product prices. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to other users.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

The Platform uses a unique pricing model where product prices are initially hidden. You may spend 20 credits to reveal the current price of a product. Upon revealing, you receive a 10-second exclusive purchase window at the revealed price.

Prices are determined by a public formula based on community reveal activity. 50% of credits spent on reveals are allocated to a community discount pool that reduces the price for all users. Discounts are calculated logarithmically and capped at 70% off the original MSRP.

The exclusive purchase window is enforced server-side. After the window expires, you must spend additional credits to reveal the price again. BargainBay is not obligated to honor prices revealed after the window has expired.

Credits may be purchased in packs of 100, 500, or 1,000. All credit purchases are processed through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. BargainBay does not store your payment information.

Unused credit packs purchased within the last 14 days are eligible for a full refund. Credits that have been partially used are not eligible for refund. Free credits (including signup bonuses and daily free reveals) have no refund value.

Credits do not expire. However, if your account is terminated for violation of these Terms, any remaining credits may be forfeited.

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform
• Attempt to manipulate the pricing formula or community discount system
• Create multiple accounts to exploit signup bonuses or free daily reveals
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Interfere with the proper operation of the Platform or its infrastructure

The Platform, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is the property of BargainBay and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Product listings, images, and descriptions are provided by third-party sellers and are the property of their respective owners. BargainBay does not claim ownership of third-party content.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BargainBay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

BargainBay's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to BargainBay in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
